PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in a data transmission function by transmitting/ receiving a check data periodically with two data transmission functions while normal data transmission/reception processing is performed where one of two normal data sent by the two data transmission functions at the same time is selected and outputted to a peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:Peripheral devices EU1-EUn such as an operation console are provided with data processors DU1-DUn. The processors DU1-DUn are connected via two common signal paths BUSA, BUSB and normal data transmission is performed via either of them. The line is selected by using signal path selection signals SSA, SSB via signal transmission lines A, B from a signal line selector BS. An input/output section 10 inputting/outputting a data to/from the peripheral devices EU1-EUn, a processing section DP operating and storing the input/output data, a transmission interface TIA for data transmission and a transmission interface TIB for data transmission are provided to the data processors DU1-DUn.
