PURPOSE:To improve the rust preventing property by eliminating the space portion surrounded by an arm member and a wheel house outer panel from the back portion of a protector mounting portion. CONSTITUTION:In a protector mounting portion 14A, a cut away portion 18 is formed in the portion over the standing wall surface 11c of an arch member 11A, an outer surface 11e and a rim 11f to swell and form the exposed portion 19 of a wheel house outer panel 10A in the vehicle outer side. The circumferential edge of the exposed portion 19 is superimposed on the back portion of the circumferential edge of the cut away portion 18 in the arch member 11A to join them with a spot welding 20, and further a plurality of mounting holes 21 are formed in the exposed portion 19 of the wheel house outer panel 10A. In such a manner, the captioned vehicle body structure is constituted.
