PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit caused by piercing a separator with the end of a current collector by pressing lithium foils against both sides of a current collector comprising heat treated punched metal, and removing projections of the metal. CONSTITUTION:Lithium foils 2 are pressed against both sides of a current collector 1 comprising an expanded nickel plate. A negative tape 3 and a stainless steel foil 4 for starting of winding are spot-welded to the current collector 1. The collector is 0.18mm thick and 2cm wide,and annealed in an atmosphere of inactive gas at about 800 deg.C to increase softness and make press-boding easy. Since the annealed metal is easily deformed and difficult to return after deformation, when it is spirally wound with a carbon positive electrode 6 through a separator, the wound body is not easily loosened. |
