PURPOSE:To perform correction and lap-typing by one key and to enable lap- typing desired times, by performing lap-printing by utilizing the data of a correc tion memory and further performing lap-printing plural times by the combination with the operation of a relocating key. CONSTITUTION:A memory apparatus 4 stores inputted data by one line and is constituted of a region A acting as a correction memory and a region B storing the position data of a carriage and the writing and reading of data are controlled by a control circuit 2. The number-of-figure data from the home position where the carriage is positioned at the left end is stored in the region B and 1 is added every when the carriage moves to the right direction by one figure and 1 is subtracted every when the carriage moves to the left direction by one figure. A printing mechanism 5 is constituted so that a correction tape is raised to printing position by driving a correction mechanism when a correction key is operated at the time of erroneous printing and the character erroneously printed is succeedingly erased by the printing of the same character as the character erroneously printed and the correction key acts as a bold key performing lap-typing at the time of the simultaneously operation with a shift key.
