PURPOSE:To eliminate a spectral prism or two blades of mirrors and to realize the high resolution with a small size and lightweight by reversing the direction in right and left with changing a sequence to write and read one image obtained from an incident optical image divided to two on and from a memory. CONSTITUTION:An optical image incident on the second CCD 20 is the image obtained by the one time reflection of a half mirror 12 and therefore, it is positioned as inverted against a transmission optical image incident on the first CCD 14. Therefore, when a picture data is read out from line memories 38 and 40, the right and left sides at reading are inverted. In other words, the reading of the data of each picture element is performed in a reverse sequence compared with the sequence when they are written. Consequently, the right and left directions of two images which are obtained from the incident optical image which is divided to two and image-picked can be coincided by one time reflection and transmission.
