PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of a copper alloy and the gelation of a conductive medium by plating a specific weight ratio of Co and W onto the inside surface of the rotating part of a resistance welding electrode roller and the outside circumferential surface of the central stationary shaft thereof and sealing a conductive quaternary fusible alloy of Ga, In, Sn and Zn into the spacing therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A compd. contg. Co and W at 90:10-30:70 by weight is plated 4 onto the inside surface of the rotating part 2 of the electric resistance welding electrode roller and the outside circumferential surface of the central stationary shaft 1. The conductive quaternary fusible alloy of Ga, In, Sn and Zn is sealed into the spacing therebetween. The quaternary alloy 3 exothermically welded by the rotation of the electrode roller 2 prevents the corrosion of the roller 2 and central shaft 1 made of the copper alloy by the plating layer 4 and prevents the gelation of the conductive medium 3 thereby extending the like of the electrode roller for welding.
