PURPOSE:To obtain a particle board having electromagnetic wave shielding effect as well as favorable external appearance by a method wherein non- magnetic metal foil is laminated to mats formed by spreading vegetable fiber chips and hot-pressed together. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, wooden chips are continuously spread from a spreader 6 over a forming belt 5 in order to form a mat 7, onto which an aluminum foil 9 delivered from a roll 8 and has vent holes is put. Secondly, comparatively larger wooden chips are continuously spread from a spreader 10 over the aluminum foil 9 in order to form a mat 11. Thirdly, wooden chips are continuously spread from a spreader 12 over the mat 11 in order to form a mat 13. The resultant laminate of th mat 7, the aluminum foil 9 with vent holes, mats 11 and 13 is cut to length and hot-pressed with a hot press. Thus, a particle board, which has stable quality, shields electromagnetic wave and consequently can prevent electromagnetic wave trouble from occurring, is obtained.
