PURPOSE:To improve the low-temperature punchability, dimensional stability, electrical properties, etc., necessary for a high-density wiring laminated paper, by impregnating an electrical-insulating laminated paper prepared from wood pulp with a water-soluble phenolic resin. CONSTITUTION:A laminated paper is produced by using a wood pulp such as bleached draft pulp, and this paper is impregnated with an aqueous solution of a water-soluble phenolic resin (e.g., resol phenolic resin) and dried to obtain the purpose electrical-insulating laminated paper. This paper is impregnated with a laminating resin(e.g., melamine resinor epoxy resin) to form a prepreg. A plurality of such prepregs are laminated and heated under an applied pressure to obtain an electrical insulating laminate. A metal-clad laminate can be obtained by laying a metal foil on at least either of the surfaces of a laminate formed by laminating prepregs and molding the assemblage by heating. |
