PURPOSE:To correct plate positioning easily and speedily without causing uneven stress against a vice which holds the plate, and to enable maintenance of a proper plate positioning for a long time, by moving the plate-holding vice through a driving portion which is operated by a signal from outside. CONSTITUTION:Printing is performed by a plate which is set at an initial reference position, and a determination is made whether there is a twist in the plate, and the extent is measured, if any; and an input is made to a control device. Then, a pressure oil is supplied to a hydraulic cylinder 9 through a hydraulic pipe 19. An attachment 11 for adjusting a plate positioning is moved for a distance as much as desired, and stopped and fixed to stay for some time, and a fixed pressure is maintained against the hydraulic cylinder 9. Hydraulic cylinders 4, 4'-4''' are supplied with pressure oil through a hydraulic pipe 18 from an outside control device 20. Consequently, the left ends of the holding sides of the vices 2 and 3 are moved to the same positions as the initial reference positions, and their right ends are moved as much as (a) in a vertical direction in comparison with the initial reference positions, resulting in correction of the positions to cure misregistration caused by twisting of the plate.
