<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the danger of an explosion in the period of a reaction with ozone and to increase the removal capacity of ozone by blending an extraction residue by-produced in case of producing alkali permanganate and activated carbon to prepare an air purifying agent. CONSTITUTION:After blending an extraction residue (Mn by-product) by- produced in case of producing alkali permanganate and activated carbon, mixing sufficiently and kneading the mixture, the granulation is performed by using a granulator by means of an ordinary method to obtain an air purifying agent. In many cases, a chemical composition of the abovementioned Mn by product consists of weight 10-30% MnO2, 25-40% CaO, 7-14% R2O3 (R is total amount of Al and Fe), 3-6% SiO2 and 1-6% M2O (M is K, Na and Li.), and it is an alkaline brown muddy material. The amount of the Mn by-product to be blended in case of molding the air purifying agent is preferably 20-80 wt.%.</p> |
