PURPOSE:To obtain a filter having both dust removing effect and heat exchanging effect at the same time by winding a corrugated filter medium having heat exchanging effect to a cylinder and constructing the cylinder to be driven and providing a heat receiving zone and a heat generating zone. CONSTITUTION:A filter element 5 is prepd. by bonding a plane filter medium and a corrugated filter medium being laid on each other, which is wound around a shaft and haused in a casing 6. The filter element 5 is made revolvable by driving with a belt 11, and separated into a filtration and heat receiving zone 8 and a regeneration and heat generation zone 9 by a purge sector 7 of the casing 6. While revolving the filter element 5 at low speed, gas to be treated 12 is passed through the filtration and heat receiving zone 8, and gas 14 for removing filter scale is passed through the regeneration and heat generation zone 9 in the direction opposite to the direction of the gas 12. By this constitution, it is possible to perform filtration and dust removal and, at the same time, heat exchange between external air and fed-back air through a filter medium.
