PURPOSE:To suppress the vibration by fastening the right and left beams and the main bearing cap of an engine by fastening bolts, in an installation spacer interposed between the fitting surfaces of a cylinder block and an oil pan. CONSTITUTION:An installation spacer 7 is used for installing an oil pan 6 used in common for a number of engines onto the bottom part of a block skirt 5. In this case, bolt holes 8 are formed onto the right and left beams 1 of the installation spacer 7, and screw holes 3 corresponding to the bolt holes 8 are drilled onto the main bearing cap 2 of the engine. The right and left beams 1 and the main bearing cap 2 are fastened by the fastening bolts 4 inserted into the holes 8 and 3. Since, the right and left beams 1 are tightened onto the main bearing cap 2, the deformation in the vertical and longitudinal directions can be suppressed, and the movement of the right and left beams 1 can be regulated, and therefore, the vibration of the installation spacer 7 can be suppressed.
