PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a flux and to improve the non- uniformity of foaming conditions by supplying an inert gas under pressure to a foaming cylinder in the flux to foam the flux and bringing the foamed flux into contact with a material to be soldered. CONSTITUTION:The inert gas is supplied under the pressure from an inert gas supply source 7 into the foaming cylinder 2 in the flux F via pipes 6, 5 and a blow port 4. The numerous pieces surface of the cylinder 2 into the flux by which the flux is foamed. The foamed flux (f) is gushed from a nozzle 3 and is brought into contact with the bottom surface of a printed wiring board P by which the flux is coated over the entire bottom surface of the board P and the lead wires of the parts to be mounted on the board P. The flux- coated board P, etc. are preheated by a preheater and are then subjected to the soldering treatment.
