PURPOSE:To dial assuredly by using an alarm means which delivers an alarm tone by immediately when an error occurs during a dialing operation. CONSTITUTION:When a visiting card containing bar codes recorded is put into the main body of a telephone number informing device, a telephone number corresponding to the detected bar codes is read and announced. Then a dialing operation is carried out with reference to the displayed numeric characters. A comparator 22 compares the dialing result of a telephone with the announced telephone number. If a dial operation error is detected, a speaker 24 is driven by a driving circuit 23 to deliver an alarm tone.
