PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver and a method for receiving a broadcast capable of preventing repeated output of the same sound even when a sound interrupt of the same content is generated in a digital audio broadcast and an analog audio broadcast.SOLUTION: When an interrupt in an FM broadcast is generated while a DAB is received, an interrupt determination unit 6b determines, on the basis of link information detected from a received DAB signal, that the interrupt is valid if the interrupting broadcast station is not the DAB link station being received, or determines that the interrupt is invalid if the interrupting broadcast station is the link station. A sound control unit 6d exerts control so that sound output is performed for the interrupt determined to be valid by the interrupt determination unit 6b, and not performed for the interrupt determined to be invalid. |
