PURPOSE:To obtain a good copy by setting unerased areas taking the size of transfer paper, the size of an original, the trimming size and magnification of copying into consideration and erasing latent image outside of the unerased areas. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the length of an unerased area 48 in the direction (x) is made to overlapped length of the length Px of a transfer paper 10 in the direction of (x), the length OxXR in the direction of (x) after changing magnification basing on the length of an original Ox and the length in the direction of (x) after changing magnification TxXR basing on the trimming size Tx, to be concrete, to the length of minimum TxXR. On the other hand, the length in the direction of (y) of the unerased area 48 is similar, to be concrete, made to the length of minimum Py. Thus, the unerased area 48 is set, and when erasing the electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body 1 by an eraser 7, control is made to erase outside of the unerased area 48. In this case, the state of the unerased area 48 is displayed by a liquid crystal display section. |
