PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having an excellent running characteristic, lubricating characteristic and electromagnetic conversion character istic by using at least one kind of fluorine compd. including perfluorosul foneamide carboxylate or perfluorosulfoneamide ternary salt compd. in a mag netic layer. CONSTITUTION:The perfluorosulfoneamide carboxylate expressed by formula I or the perfluorosulfoneamide ternary salt compd. expressed by formulas II, III is incorporated into the magnetic layer. In the formulas, (n) is 3-20, (m) is 2n+1, 2n-1, R<1> is H, satd. and unsatd. alkyl groups of 1-18C, M is Na<+>, K<+>, H<+>, P is 1-5 integer, RII is a satd. alkyl group of 1-5C, X is F, Cl, Br, I and q is 1-5 integer. The compd. having the alkyl group contg. fluorine and having a sulfone amide group is basically the essential required and the effect is obtd. even if the structure of the other parts changes. |
