Combined collectors of alkali metal n-butyl trithiocarbonate and C2-3 alkyl sodium trithiocarbonate are described as useful collectors for the flotation of iron and/or copper or respectively, lead and/or zinc. Furthermore, combined collectors of alkali metal n-butyl trithiocarbonate and alkali metal amyl xanthate are described as useful collectors for the recovery of iron and/or copper values from minerals, preferably sulfided minerals, containing such values.
