摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a fluorescent lamp which is characterized by high color rendering and high efficiency and can be produced at low cost by mixing three types of phosphors. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp is made by coating the inner surface of a glass tube with a mixture which is composed of a first phosphor consisting of an alkaline earth metal halophosphate (represented by the formula) activated with divalent europium and having an emission peak within the wavelength range of 470-500nm, a second phosphor having an emission peak within the wavelength range of 620-640nm and a half width of 120-160nm and a third phosphor consisting of calcium halophosphate activated with antimony. It is possible to make the alkaline earth metal halophosphate phosphor activated with divalent europium have an emission peak within the wavelength range of 470-500nm by changing the proportions of Ba, Ca and Mg in the equation. Due to this advantage of the first phosphor, it is possible to produce a fluorescent lamp having excellent characteristics under various conditions ranging from low chromatic temperature to high chromatic temperature simply by combining the first phosphor with the second and the third phosphors.
