The present invention relates to a self-actuated headrest mechanism (1) which enables to adjust height of headrests used in vehicles. The objective of the present invention is to provide a self-actuated headrest mechanism (1) which enables the headrest shaft (2) to be tightly held when the headrest is in fixed position, and enables the user not to have difficulty due to the friction force by releasing the shaft (2) when the headrest height adjustment is wanted to be performed.
