The present invention relates to a power supply device for an electronic device and a control method thereof. The power supply device for an electronic device having a module type attached to and detached from a power supply line comprises: a power conversion unit which receives external alternating current power and converts the alternating current power into direct current power; an input voltage adjustment unit which adjusts the level of the direct current power converted in the power conversion unit and applies the direct current power to an electrode switching unit; an electrode switching unit which switches polarity of the direct current power applied through the input voltage adjustment unit and supplies the direct current power to the power supply line; and a control unit which controls the electrode switching unit to switch the polarity of the direct current power. |
