A filler suspension for rubber mixes is prepd. by (a) mixing a polymer contg. a filler with a hydrocarbon solvent in a ratio by wt. of 1:0.5-60, (b) heating the mixt. isothermally to cause thermal destruction of the polymer, and (c) extracting low-boiling fractions from the suspension at 50-400 deg.C and 100-100,000 N/sq.m in presence of an inert gas. The quality of the prod. and the properties of the rubber mixes are improved. Use of difficult hydrocarbon solvents, e.g. toluene, is avoided. The process is cheaper. Liq. fuels, organic plasticisers, and other prods. can be obtd. during the extn. |
