PURPOSE:To aim at unmanning a print substrate supply and take-out device, by providing such an arrangement that a stopper rod in a print substrate storage box may be inserted and separated perpendicularly to the directions of supply and take-out of print substrates. CONSTITUTION:A substrate storage box 5 is moved in the direction to be set on an elevating table 6, and is made to repeat a rise and a stop until it reach a predetermined position. At this time a chuck cylinder 2 is also lowered to grip a stopper rod 3 by means of pawls 2a so that the stopper rod 3 is made to repeat a rise and a stop at predetermined pitches. During this period, a substrate 4 is pushed out by means of a cylinder 7. Further, when the storage box 5 reaches its upper limit, the pawls 2a are opened to return the stopper rod 3 is returned to its original positions in the storage box 5. Then, the emptied box 5 is removed. With this arrangement it is possible to aim at unmanning the print substrate supply and take-out device.
