PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of freedom in design by configurating a device in such a way that each of upper surface members for both a mirror housing and a base which supports the said housing rotatably, is made of a soft material which is deflective so as to allow the mirror housing to rotate to the forward side of a car. CONSTITUTION:A door mirror 1 is supported in such a way that the base end 4 of a housing 3 which supports a mirror 2 rotatably, is supported on a base 6 installed on a door 5, rotatably around the vertical axis. In this case, a core member 7 is covered with an upper surface member 8 to form the housing 3, and a visor 9 which is made of a hard material, for example, synthetic resin, is installed on a section which faces afterward with respect to a car when the housing is in a proper position. Similarily, a core member 12 is covered with an upper surface member 13 to form the base 6. And each of the said surface members is made of a soft material, for example, synthetic resin such as soft rubber of urethane and the like. This configuration enables each of surface members 8 and 13 to be deflected so as to rotate the housing to the forward side of the car.
