PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing reduction in usability by enabling quick reboot of a scanner motor.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: a laser control part 111 which controls lighting of a laser 1; a rotary polygon mirror which reflects laser light so that the surface of a photoreceptor is subjected to scanning exposure with laser light of the laser; a motor 118 which rotationally drives the rotary polygon mirror; a motor control part 112 which controls driving of the motor 118; a light reception sensor 6 which outputs a light reception signal by detecting the laser light reflected on the rotary polygon mirror; and a calculation part 120 which calculates a cycle of outputting the light reception signal. When the previous image formation operation is finished and an instruction of the next image formation operation is received during braking of the motor 118 by the motor control part 112, the laser control part 111 turns on the laser 1, and the motor control part 112 drives the motor 118 after the cycle of the light reception signal calculated by the calculation part 120 becomes equal to or less than a prescribed cycle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
