PURPOSE:To enable compacting of an engine, by a method wherein the axis center of cylinders, disposed in a V-type in a crank case, is displaced in the direction of the axis of a crank shaft, and the rotation transmitting system of a governor is positioned to a cylinder skirt part on the side situated deep in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders 9A and 9B are disposed in a V-type in a manner that a cylinder skirt part (a) is projected in a crank case 2. The axis centers of the two cylinders 9A and 9B are displaced in the axis direction of a crank shaft 1. A rotation transmitting system A, transmitting rotation of a governor gear 18 to a governor lever shaft 24, is placed to a cylinder skirt part (a) of a cylinder 9A on the side located deep in the cylinder as seen from the outside in the axis direction of the crank shaft 1. This enables effective utilization of a space and compacting of constitution of an engine.
