PURPOSE:To obtain a finishing agent capable of affording knits with high soil releasability, hydrophilicity and stretchability, by copolymerization between polyester segment constituted by aliphatic, alicyelic and aromatic carboxylic acid components and aliphatic glycol and one terminal-hindered polyethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:The objective finishing agent consisting of a polyester-polyether block copolymer obtained by copolymerization between, (A) polyester segment constituted by, i) (unsaturated group-contg.) aliphatic or alicyclic dicarboxylic or oxycarboxylic acid component (5-50 mole % based on the total acid components) and aromatic dicarboxylic or oxycarboxylic acid component (95-50 mole % based on the total acid components) and ii) aliphatic glycol component (with ethylene glycol and/or 1,4-butanediol accounting for >=50 mole %) and (B) one terminal-hindered polyethylene glycol (with a molecular weight 800-4,000) in such an amount as to result in 50-80 wt. % in the copolymer produced. |
