PURPOSE:To titled sealing material, obtained by impregnating a nonrigid polyurethane foam having specific physical properties with a fluorine-containing hydrocarbon based water repellent, capable of ensuring improved water stopping properties with a small amount of the water repellent, readily producible and having good handleability. CONSTITUTION:A sealing material obtained by impregnating a nonrigid polyurethane foam having >=40 cells based on 25mm length, <=50cc/cm<2> sec quantity of air flow at 10mm thickness and <=15kgf hardness at 25% compression with a fluorine-containing hydrocarbon based water repellent, preferably a compound expressed by formula I (n is >=1), formula II (n is >=1; m is >=1) or formula III (n is >=1; m is >=3; x is >=5).
