PURPOSE:To lighten the burden of an operator even when plural images are in each frame of a film by dividing and reading the images in each frame according to the designation of a relative address designating device at the position that divides each image. CONSTITUTION:Image information in a designated film is selected and extracted by an image retrieving device (b), and the image information is carried to a reading scanning position detected by a position detecting device (c) and stopped, and the scanned picture of the image information designated according to a relative address designated by an address designating device (d) is divided into plural pictures by a controlling device (e). The divided picture is read independently by an image reading device (a). After completion of reading, the image retrieving device (b) is operated by the controlling device (e) to carry the next picture image to the reading scanning position, and reading operation of divided image is repeated. Thus, the images of a group of designated file frames can be recorded continuously separating them automatically, and accordingly, the burden of an operator can be reduced.
