PURPOSE:To measure the speed of each wheel uniformly by providing >=2 wheels with a counting means respectively, entering next retrieval even when a counted value is zero during successive retrieval, and deciding that the speed is zero when the counted value is still zero even after retrieval is performed several time. CONSTITUTION:A rotational pulse signal generating circuit 1 is fitted to >=2 wheels and counted values of rotating pulse counting circuits 2 are retrieved successively to measure the speeds of the respective wheels. This device retrieves the counted value (difference from last counted value) of the counting circuit 2 of a circuit A to calculate the speed on the basis of the counted value unless the counted value is zero, and performs similar operation as to a circuit B. If one of counted values is zero, the retrieval for a next circuit is entered and this operation is repeated as many times as specified. Then when the counted value is still zero, it is decided that the speed of the wheels is zero. Consequently, it does not take a long time for the speed arithmetic of a specific wheel and the arithmetic processing is carried out uniformly as to the respective wheels.
