PURPOSE:To prevent heating or breakdown of transistors by providing a resonant circuit between the bases of transistors and a feedback winding and applying the same bias voltage as the designed value to the bases of the transistors all the time even though variation and the like in a load are encountered. CONSTITUTION:A resonant circuit 11 is provided between a feedback winding 5c of a transformer 5 and the bases of transistors 2 and 3. When a load 7 varies, e.g., when an electric-discharge lamp approaches the end of its life and the resistance is increased, i.e., an overloaded condition is brought about, the resonant conditions are changed. Therefore, to the bases of the transistors 2 and 3, is applied the same bias voltage as the designed value all the time; the transistors 2 and 3 are switched as designed; and abnormal oscillations can be prevented. |
