The invention relates to a method and a device for locating a number (g) of measuring points. Each measuring point has an individually actuatable light-emitting unit (Lh). A control unit (9) is provided which is designed to adjust a sequence of light patterns (Mn) using a first number a(n) of activated light-emitting units (Lh) and a second number b(n) of non-activated light-emitting units (Lh). The device has at least one camera (3, 4) for recording each light pattern (Mn) from at least two different camera positions (Kt) and an analyzing unit (6) which is designed to ascertain image coordinates (u, v) of light-emitting units (Lh) from the recordings for each camera position (Kt) and to calculate spatial coordinates (x, y, z) of the light-emitting units (Lh) from the ascertained image coordinates.
