PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of temperature at the armpit and under the tongue at the optimum measuring time and accuracy, by permitting the display of temperature information from a hard bar-like thermosensitive probe for measuring for the armpit and a soft sheet-like thermosensitive probe for measuring under the tongue on respective thermometer body. CONSTITUTION:When measuring the temperature at the armpit, a thermosensitive probe 10 for measuring for the armpit is pinched under the armpit and the position switch 23 of a thermometer 12 is set to the armpit measuring position. A CPU 27 starts operation and temperature information obtained with the thermosensitive probe 10 is taken in to display the temperature at the armpit temperature display area of a display 24. When measuring the temperature under the tongue, a thermosensitive probe 11 for measuring under the tongue is put under the tongue and the position switch 23 is set to undertongue measuring position. Thus, temperature information obtained with the thermosensitive probe 11 is taken in to display the temperature at the under- tongue temperature display area of the display 24.
