PURPOSE:To suppress increase in internal resistance by placing one or more electrodes inside an electrolyte between two electrochemical electrodes in parallel to the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Electrolytes are partitioned to four layers 12, 13, 14, and 15 by electrodes 9, 10, and 11 placed in parallel to electrochemical electrodes 7, 8 having different temperature. If the heat resistance and electric resistance of electrodes 9-11 are negligible, and when the total thickness of electrolytes 12-15 is equal to the thickness of an electrolyte 1 of the conventional temperature difference battery, the internal resistance is generally the same. In this temperature difference battery, concentration gradient in the inside of electrolytes 12-15 is widened. By partitioning electrolytes by the electrodes, limiting current density is increased and nonlinear increase in internal resistance is suppressed. |
