<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the titled device precisely from the induction of paper jamming by detecting the opened state of movable guide plates and inhibiting copying operation when the return of carrying courses to the original positions is forgotten after processing the jamming. CONSTITUTION:Movable guide plates 14a, 20b of respective carrying courses 14, 20 are pivoted in the arrow A direction respectively and an optical sensor 35 is usually shielded by the lower end part 36b of a flapper 36 pivoted around a pin 37. At processing of jamming under said constitution, both the guide plates 14a, 20b are rotated in the arrow A direction, the sensor 35 is released from the shielding due to the flapper 36 and its opened state is detected. If the return of the carrying courses 14, 20 to the original positions is forgotten after processing of jamming i.e. when the release of the sensor 35 from shielding has passed for a fixed period, the copying operation is inhibited through a control part 42, so that paper can not be fed because the carrying courses are opened and the device can be precisely prevented from induction of paper jamming.</p> |
