PURPOSE:To rapidly and easily perform the mounting of a filter element, by fixedly providing a main body so as to provide an interval from the holding rail provided in a filter housing and providing a pressing body relatively movable to the main body. CONSTITUTION:A filter element mounting apparatus 10 consists of the box shaped main body 11, which is opened in the front side (downstream side) thereof, fixed to a filter housing 1 and the box shaped pressing body 12 engaged with the interior of the main body 11 in a slidable manner. At first, a filter element 2 is inserted in the filter housing from a replacing port while slid on a slide rail 8. Next, when an engaging member 23 is laterally fallen to rotate an operation rod 17, the pressing body 12 is pressed along the longitudinal direction thereof because threaded with a fixing nut 19. Therefore, a gasket 25 is pressed to an oblique forward direction by the pressing body 12 and a hermetically sealed state can be held between a holding rail 9 and the pressing body 12.
