PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a machine body and to reduce the size and cost of the machine by using a motor of an automatic original carrying device to be optionally and externally connected to the machine to be exclusively used for unmagnification also for the positional control of an optical system and the carrying of originals so as to be optionally switched. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine body is constituted as a machine to be exclusively used for unmagnification and the automatic original carrying device including an original carrying belt 17, a servo motor 30, etc. in its inside is optionally and externally arranged on the upper part of the machine body and connected to the body side through gears 41, 42. Under said state the power of the servo motor 30 can be used for a driving source of the original carrying belt 17 or a driving source of the setting of an image formation lens and the 2nd mirror unit by intermittently connecting magnet clutches 32, 35. Thereby, it is unnecessary to form a driving device for these units on the copying machine body and the size and cost of the machine can be reduced.
