PURPOSE:To record additional information together with original information with a simple constitution by forming a projecting means for the additional information and directly projecting the additional information from the projecting means to the surface of a photosensitive drum through a convergent optical transmitting body. CONSTITUTION:Original information from an original 3 set up on an original platen 2 is recorded on recording paper 4 by a copying device 1, exposed to the surface of the photosensitive drum 11 through a copying optical system consisting of the 1st-3rd mirrors 6-8, a lens 9 and the 4th mirror 10, developed by a developing part, and then transferred to recording paper 4 fed from a paper feeding part 15. The convergent optical transmitting body 20 and the additional information projecting means 21 opposed to the upper end surface of the body 20 are arranged between an original information exposing part (a) of the drum 11 and the developing part 13. A pattern display part 24 for displaying the additional information by liquid crystal is fitted to the end part of an optical path frame obtained by arranging a light source 22 on the inside of the means 21. The display part 24 is constituted of an opaque pattern part 24a and the other part 24b including a transparent display element and a pattern obtained from the display part 24 is directly projected upon the surface of the drum 11 through the transmitting body 20.
