PURPOSE:To make noxious gas innoxious, by applying dry distillation to various high-molecular compounds contained in waste to gasify the same and subsequently supplying high temp. air to burn the formed gas. CONSTITUTION:A waste combustible substance is charged in a dry distillation chamber from a charge port 23 and ignited. Air is supplied into the dry distillation chamber 21 from a blower 48 through air jet pipes 25a, 25b so as to bring the atmospheric temp. in said chamber 21 to a range of 550-750 deg.C. The gas formed by dry distillation rises through the dry distillation chamber 21 and induced into a first catalyst chamber 28 from an inducing port 27 by the sucking action due to a chimney 53. Air heated to 900 deg.C or more by a heater 31 is supplied into the first catalyst chamber 28 from the blower 48 through an air header 47, a pipe 49, a preheater 51 and a pipe 52. Whereupon, the dry distillation gas generates a flame to be reacted and almost all of said gas is burnt while the unburnt gas is contacted with a catalyst body 29 to be made innoxious. |
