发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material which ensures that whether or not a copy being dealt with is an imitative copy can be easily discriminated, by a system wherein an image part and a ground part are respectively constituted of specified halftone dots, and the hue of an ink used for halftone printing is different from the developed color tone of a thermal recording dye. CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording material is produced by providing a thermal recording layer on a base and halftone printing is conducted on the surface of the layer. In the thermal recording material, (i) the image part in the halftone printing is constituted of halftone dots numbering not more than 80 lines/inch while the ground part is constituted of halftone dots numbering not less than 120 lines/inch or (ii) the image part is constituted of halftone dots numbering not less than 120 lines/inch while the ground part is constituted of halftone dots numbering not more than 80 lines/inch, and the hue of the ink used in the halftone printing is different from the developed color tone of the recording material. An image recorded on the surface of the thermal recording material can be prevented from being imitatively copied. Namely, when the image recorded on the thermal recording material in the case (i) is copied by electrophotography, a latent image formed by the halftone printing appears black clearly against the other part of the copy, whereas in the case (ii) the latent image appears white clearly against the other part.
