PURPOSE:To match easily a black offset balance and a gray balance by scanning in advance a gray chart which is used as a reference, calculating its each color output by a CPU, and writing it in a RAM. CONSTITUTION:At every color of R, G and B, the output signal of a gray chart 18 is inputted to a CPU12 through a latching circuit 11, and in the CPU12, a density correction coefficient is calculated, based on its data. When writing the density correction coefficient in a RAM14, a control signal is supplied to a controlling circuit 13 by the CPU12, the RAM14 is set to a write mode, and a selecting circuit 8 is switched to an address bus A side of the CPU12. The density correction coefficient which has passed through a data bus B of the CPU12 supplied to a data bus of the RAM14 through a buffer 23, and its density correction coefficient is stored in an address shown by an address data, through the selecting circuit 8. From the CPU12, a control signal is inputted to the controlling circuit 13, the selecting circuits 8-10 are switched to an output data side of a shading correcting circuit 3, and the RAMs 14-16 also used for read-only.
