PURPOSE:To project directly and clearly letters or an picture from an information processor by forming the face of an overhead projector on which an original to be projected is mounted with a flat panel shutter consisting of longitudinally and laterally arranged light shutters of PLZT and by directly projecting an picture displayed on the panel shutter. CONSTITUTION:The face of an overhead projector on which an original to be projected is mounted is formed with a flat panel shutter 1 consisting of longitudinally and laterally arranged many small light shutters of PLZT (lanthanum added lead zirconium titanate). The shutter 1 is driven according to a signal from an information processor such as a word processor and a scanning signal to display letters or an picture which is directly projected on a screen on an enlarged scale through a projection lens 3 and a mirror 4. Thus, letters or an picture from an information processor such as a word processor can be projected directly and clearly without passing through a troublesome process such as a print-out process.
