PURPOSE:To manufacture a stretched polyester bottle with a comparatively high production speed by a method in which a bottomed polyester parison is heated to a draw molding temperature and molded by blow molding to form a stretched bottle, and the bottle is put in cooling molds and a pressure gas is blown into the bottle for final molding. CONSTITUTION:Since a heated parison 6 is put into heating moles 18 and molded by draw blowing molding, the stretched bottle 22 so molded is heat-set during the period when it is touched by the molds 18. While the bottle 22 subjected to the heat setting is immediately held under a positive inner pressure to keep its shape, the bottle 22 is taken out of the molds 18 and put into cooling molds 23. A pressure gas 27 is blown into the bottle 22 kept at high temperatures for final molding, whereupon the bottle 22 in contact with the molds 23 is cooled to temperatures lower than the glass transition temperature. No deformation occurs in the bottle 22 taken out of the molds 23, and a normal shape of the bottle 22 can thus be obtained. |
