PURPOSE:To prevent clogging, enable high-speed recording and prevent the trailing end of a recording material from being contaminated with an ink, by a system wherein the spacing between a recording material supporting surface of a recording material feeding mechanism displaced concurrently with passage of the recording material and a heating element is slowly reduced through a shock-absorbing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The force for pressing a recording paper 8 against a recording part guide 31 is transmitted through a belt-pressing/retracting means 43b, and a belt guide plate 27 as the second floating part is pushed upward relatively to a casing part of an attraction feeding mechanism part 43a as the first floating part through a high viscosity fluid shock absorber 29 against a belt guide plate pressing spring 26, by a reactional force exerted on the plate 27 from the guide 31. Therefore, even when the trailing end of the paper 8 is passed through an edge part of the guide 341, the downward movement is decelerated by the shock-absorbing effect of the shock absorber 29. Accordingly, the trailing end of the paper 8 can be passed through the heating element 3 while the recording surface of the paper 8 approaches the surface of a film 2. |
