PURPOSE:To enable high-speed recording without generating clogging and to make it possible to perform efficient operation, by providing a recording medium position detecting means for detecting the moving position of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium position detecting means (film position detecting means) 143 is provided in order not only to know where the start or finish of the large-number-of-perforation part 92 of a film is positioned but also to start recording when the start position of the large-number-of-perforation part of the film in the moving direction thereof reached the place of a heating element in starting recording. A film position indexing disc is mounted to the drive shaft of a film driving shaft 52 as a recording medium position indexing disc and film first position detecting slits 81 as recording medium first position detecting slits showing the start position of the large-number-of-perforation part of the film and film second position detecting slits 82 as recording medium position detecting slits are provided to the indexing disc 80 and the position of the film 2 is detected by a film position detector 79. |
