PURPOSE:To achieve a high reliability with a less torsional stress during the vibration, by arranging two bent pipes at an intermediate part of a main straight pipe set on the coaxial line as separated at an equal distance above and below the main straight pipe to shunt a fluid by an equal division for a larger substantial length of a conduit. CONSTITUTION:Bent pipes 3 and 4 of the same shape are arranged parallel in the sections defined by the shunt point 2 and a convergence point 21 at an equal distance from the axis line X0X0' and are each driven to rotate in the opposite phase about the first axis X1X1' and the third axis X2X2'. A driving means has a magnet, an exciting coil and the like arranged as opposed at points P and Q respectively on the second axis Y1Y1' and the fourth axis Y2Y2' and performs an electromagnetic driving to resonate to the natural frequency about the first axis X1X1' and the third axis X2X2'. At this point, a torsional vibration is generated in the straight pipes 31, 35, 41 and 45 and the mass flow rate is determined from the Coriolis' force working on the bent pipes 3 and 4. Thus, a larger substantial length of the arms of the bent pipes 3 and 4 applies a torsion to disperse the stress, thereby elevating the reliability. |
