PURPOSE:To execute simply the highly accurate control and assembling by fixing a tape guide pole and a guide plate in the condition in which a tape guide pole is positioned at the orthogonal reference plane, and fixing the magnetic head at the opening part after the position is adjusted on the basis of the guide plate and the spacer. CONSTITUTION:Orthogonal reference planes A and B at the time of positioning tape guide poles 6a and 6b are formed by the working such as the cutting and the grinding, thereafter, separated to the prescribed thickness as shown in a-a', b-b' and c-c'..., the separated surface is finished by the means of the lapping, etc., and the width (h) of a spacer 5 is realized with a high accuracy. Consequently, surfaces C1 and C2 supplied to the tape guide part of guide plates 3 and 4 abutted to both sides of the spacer 5 are fixed on the basis of the spacer 5 worked and finished the satisfactory flattness, and the straightness of the surfaces C1 and C2 to the reference planes A and B and the squareness of the surfaces C1 and C2 to the guide pole 6 can be easily secured. Thus, the high accuracy is obtained and the working assembling can be facilitated.
