The invention relates to a method for producing moulded parts, comprising the following steps; (a) a polymer composition containing 1 - 99 wt.% polyhydroxyalkanoate and 1 - 99 wt.% starch-containing polymer is provided; (b) said polymer composition is homogenized using thermal and/or mechanical energy; (c) said polymer composition is introduced into the mould; (d) the mould of the moulded part is moulded; and (e) the moulded part is removed from the mould. The claimed method is particularly suitable for producing hard capsules.
