摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance the productivity in fabrication of drills without using a grinder, by crossing two disc-like electrodes inclined with respect to a drill, with each other, so that a drill groove is formed by an electrical discharge machining process while the electrodes are rotated. CONSTITUTION:A drill 10 attached at the front end of a rotary device 9 is fed in the direction of ZC under servo-control by a servo-head and the rotary device 9, and electrodes 13a, 13b are rotated at a high speed by means of high speed rotary devices 11a, 11b, and are fed in the direction Z by means of rectilinear feed devices 12a, 12b. The two electrodes 13a, 13b are set at both sides of the drill, respectively, the inclined angle of the electrodes 13a, 13b being adjusted to a predetermined angle of the groove in the drill 10, and therefore, both electrodes 13a, 13b are fed under servo-control in the directions +YC2, -YC3, respectively, so that two grooves are simultaneously formed in the drill, that is the drill grooves are fabricated. Thus, two drill grooves are simultaneously formed. Thereby it is possible to enhance the efficiency of drills.</p>
