PURPOSE:To surely remove moisture from sludge, moist fibers, etc. by simplified constitution and lasy control operation by constituting the titled device in such a manner that a material to be treated is simultaneously subjected to a compression dehydration effect and heating and drying effect by low-speed rotation. CONSTITUTION:The moist material to be treated from which extraneous materials are removed by a suitable pretreatment device is introduced 21 into the device and on the other hand, a motor 11 is driven to rotate a shaft 30 in a casing 20 at a low speed. A heat medium is at the same time supplied to a heating jacket 40 and a heating pipe 43. Feed vanes 31 of the rotating shaft 30 feed the material toward a discharge port 22 side and during this time, the moisture in the material is leached to the inside of the shaft 30 and to the outside of the casing 20 by dehydration holes 32 and draining holes 23 from the gradually narrowing space between the outside periphery of the shaft 30 and the inside periphery of the casing 20 and is thereby discharged away. The material is heated and dried from the inside and outside of the casing 20 by the heating effect of the heat medium and the falf-solidified material is stored in a storage chamber 16 in the front part of the frame 10. The stored material is properly subjected to a discarding treatment.
